Retro Home Decor Retro Mod Bedroom Black White and Color part 1
Retro Home Decor is back to more in depth writing on how to achieve the perfect retro look for your vintage style home. We’re looking to the mod vibe of the 1960s with just a touch of the 1970s to inspire us with the following items that will give you bedroom a retro mod style futuristic feel.
From angles to start color contrasts, we’re focusing on the bed being in Black and White with punches of color , angles and metal surrounding it.
The modernist feel of the era was a combination of new thinking and a venturing away from the tried of true of clothing and decor from decades past. The 1950s brought about more color into the standard home and the mod era ran with this, by revving up color with color blocking as well as color contrasting . Retro Home Decor is taking the retro flavor from this time period and finding modern day pieces to bring your Mod bedroom to life!
We’re going to start out with a key piece and design the mod bedroom around it. We’ve Singgh Kartono Klock clock for this.
The Kartono clock adds a quirky personality as well as the stark Black and White contrast of the mod decor. Numberless and with clean lines, it’s a perfect addition to a bedside table.
Bedding options – As your bed will be the focal point of your mod bedroom. Choose something stark preferable in Black, and than add pillows and other accessories to add punch.
Thai Silk Throw Pillows at only $15 each, buy 10 and have fun using them all about the house!
Another key room feature that is often viewed as an accessory, but can make or break the completion of the feeling that you’re going for are, side tables and end tables, they’re a highlight for a vintage bedroom with a 1960s Retro vibe.
Window Treatments – going with the same theme of Black. Having black drapes or curtains, makes the ultimate statement, but you don’t have to completely shut yourself off from the light. Adding some sheer white voile is a nice contrast and helps bring in the sun.
