Retro Vintage Teapots for Kitchen and Living Room: Retro Home Decor for Literature Ladies Part 2
This wasn’t going to be a Retro Home Decor series initially but I’ve decided that I will make it one, simply because of my love of teapots. What I intend to do is write a little story about each teapot, or shall I say a story around it. A short story, a snippet of a story, a brief thought as it will. That will center around a “Lady of Literature” (even if she’s completely made up) and a teapot or teapots.
By the way I do enjoy hearing from people, so please comment or drop an email on some of your Retro Home Decor favorites.
Dorothy went to pour a cup of tea for Lillian. She was so happy that Lillain could come to stay with her for the lovely summer in the adorable vintage cottage her grandmother left her in the English country side. It had been so long since they’d last seen each other. Fifteen years, perhaps twenty, they were just girls at the time.
So much had happened since than, school, work, life, marriage…death.
Sometimes the only thing one could really do, is sit down and have a cup of tea. Lillian knew that too, which is why the minute that they walked in the door, Lillian opened up her suitcase and said “Look at what I have for you Dorothy. The minute I saw it, I just had to buy it because I knew that even after all this time it would still be something that you’d love.” What a lovely gift too. An adorable tea for one set with Hummingbirds and flowers and an inscription on it. What does it say again…
